Angel Paws Project
We recently partnered with Angel-Paws Inc., alongside Dulux Australia and Programmed by Persol, to deliver a critical upgrade to the quarantine (Stage 1) kennels.
This is the area where surrendered dogs and puppies first arrive, making hygiene absolutely non-negotiable.

The objective was simple - Create a cleaner, safer environment to help reduce the spread of disease and give these animals the best possible start.

Scope of Works
The Pressure Washing Company handled the first step in the process by pressure washing the concrete floor surfaces and therefore prepping them for Programmed to be able to do their work.

Our scope included:
-
Deep cleaning of kennel surfaces
-
Removal of organic contamination and built-up grime
-
Full sanitisation of high-risk areas
-
Preparation of the target surfaces for coating and painting
Surface Preparation
We used targeted chemical application to break down contamination properly and ensure surfaces were hygienically clean, not just visually clean.

Usually we'd be mindful of not etching the concrete with the pressure application being too aggressive. In this case, that was a bonus byproduct. Gentle scarification ensures that the surface is as clean as possible and free of contaminants that may prevent paint products from adhering but it also creates a slightly rough surface which also serves the same purpose.

The Outcome
The result was a fully prepared, sanitised environment ready for the next stage of works, enabling the successful application of protective coatings, improved overall hygiene standards, a reduction in disease risk (in particular parvovirus), and the creation of a safer intake environment for vulnerable animals. As noted by Angel-Paws, the upgrade has significantly strengthened their ability to protect animals at their most critical point of entry.
