Why We’re Different (And Why That Matters)

There are plenty of pressure washing businesses in Townsville.

Some are cheaper.
Some have bigger equipment.
Some are one-man operations.

We’re not here to criticise anyone. There’s room for different services at different price points. But we do operate differently and that difference is deliberate. Because when it comes to exterior cleaning, what you see in the quote isn’t always the full story.

We Don’t Do “Basic” Jobs

When we clean a roof, we don’t just clean the roof. Solar panels are cleaned. Gutters are cleared. That’s included as standard. Not upsold. Not an optional extra. Not something we mention halfway through the job. Because it doesn’t make sense to clean a roof and leave dirty solar panels reducing efficiency. It doesn’t make sense to ignore gutters that will overflow and re-contaminate everything the next time it rains.

It’s the same with our house wash service.

When we wash a home, we don’t just spray the walls and leave. We clean the windows, the security screens, the door runners, the downpipes and the external air-conditioning units. The goal is that the entire exterior presentation improves, not just one section of it. That’s what we mean by comprehensive. 

 

Every Job Is Post-Treated.

Living in North Queensland changes the equation. Humidity, heat and salt air mean mould doesn’t just appear, it actually thrives. That’s why every job we complete is post-treated with a biocide application.

 

Every single one. 

 

A surface can look clean after pressure alone. But that doesn’t mean the spores are gone. If they’re not treated properly, regrowth can happen quickly, especially in shaded or high-moisture areas. We don’t just remove what you can see, we also treat what you can’t. That’s the difference between something looking good for a few weeks and staying cleaner for much longer.

But the biggest difference is accountability. We offer a satisfaction guarantee. If we complete your job and you’re not happy with the result, we will come back and fix it. If something arises that’s directly related to our work, we address it. No disappearing. No awkward back-and-forth. No blaming the weather. And if we can’t fix it to a standard you’re happy with, you don’t pay. That’s a simple promise, but it carries weight because not every business is prepared to stand behind their work like that.

“But You’re More Expensive…”

Sometimes we are. That's by design. If we were the same price as a business offering you way less, wouldn't you be questioning that? We’re not the cheapest in town, and we don’t aim to be. The real question isn’t whether a quote is cheaper, it’s what’s included, and what isn’t. Does the price include solar and gutter cleaning with roof work? Does it include window detailing with a house wash? Is post-treatment part of the system? Is there a genuine satisfaction guarantee? Or are those things additional costs that show up later... Or, simply not done at all? 

 

Cheaper jobs can become expensive if they need to be redone. Or if damage occurs. Or, if regrowth appears within weeks because the job wasn’t treated properly. We price for a complete service delivered properly the first time.

Things don't always go perfectly

It would be WAY easier to tell you they do, but they don't... Occasionally things go wrong, sometimes it's out of our hands, and sometimes it's 100% our fault. So, here's a couple of recent issues, and their outcomes (something most businesses would never advertise):

The handkerchief test - We had a client who we performed a house wash for. They weren't happy with the results. The client called us back, and then wiped the exterior tin cladding with a fresh white handkerchief.

 

There was a mark on the handkerchief. Shock.

 

For the record - if you rub a white handkerchief on any exterior surface of a building, it will show you some dirt. We clean for visual cleanliness and not for surgical sterilisation. If you need to perform surgery, prepare food, or require external white handkerchief storage on the exterior of your house, we're not the company for you.

 

Anyway... the result? They didn't pay for the house wash. No contest from us. Do we agree with their opinion? No. But we offered them a guarantee, so that's what we provided. And such is life.

Gutter exteriors - We completed a roof cleaning job in Annandale. The job went really well, the customer was pleased, it was all good. 2 weeks later the customer sent a message letting us know that the exterior edge of her guttering did actually have some dirt marks from when the guys were cleaning the roof. It's overspray caused by the flow of water. The final rinse down had missed that part.

 

She said she couldn't reach it, and she wanted to know what to do. The result? We're returning to fix it up for her. And rightly so, this one was our mistake, she certainly isn't expected to reach her own gutters. And we wont be charging a penny for the return visit.
