Commercial Ground Surface Cleaning

Commercial ground surface cleaning requires a slightly different approach to residential work. The size of the area, the type of contamination, pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and environmental considerations all influence how we plan and complete the job.

For most hard surfaces, we use a surface cleaner.

​

A surface cleaner is a large circular attachment fitted with two high-pressure nozzles underneath that spin at high speed. This allows us to clean large areas quickly while producing a much more even finish than using a standard pressure washing lance.

The pressure is carefully selected to suit the surface being cleaned. We adjust our equipment to safely clean everything from exposed aggregate and decorative painted concrete through to standard concrete, pavers, asphalt, loading bays and commercial hardstands, helping to achieve the best possible result without unnecessary risk of surface damage.

Depending on the type of contamination, we may pre-treat or post-treat the area with specialised cleaning solutions. These treatments can help break down built-up grime, remove organic growth such as mould and algae, lift stubborn stains, reduce slip hazards, and improve the overall finish. Not every job requires chemical treatment, but where appropriate it can significantly improve cleaning effectiveness. (We do post-treat every job with a biocide product to increase the longevity of the clean and kill any remaining mould spores).

Once cleaning is complete, the entire area is thoroughly rinsed to remove loosened debris and any remaining contaminants. Larger commercial sites often require considerably more rinsing than people expect, particularly exposed aggregate and asphalt surfaces where dirt becomes trapped within the textured finish.

Throughout the cleaning process, we take environmental responsibility seriously. We carefully manage runoff wherever practical, protect nearby stormwater systems and sensitive areas, and tailor our cleaning methods to suit the surrounding environment. Where required, we implement additional controls to minimise environmental impact and ensure the work is carried out responsibly.

Where possible, we also work around your operating hours to minimise disruption to staff, customers and site operations. For high-traffic locations such as shopping centres, service stations, schools, warehouses and industrial facilities, we can schedule work outside normal business hours to help keep your business operating safely and efficiently.
